A Promise Born From Loss

Growing up, sickle cell was never just a diagnosis — it became a part of everyday life. At four years old, the founder and her twin sister were both diagnosed with HbSS sickle cell disease. They faced the pain, hospital visits, and uncertainty together, until she lost her sister to the disease when they were only ten years old.
Today, at 25, she carries both her pain and her purpose. Footprints of a Warrior is more than a nonprofit — it is a promise. A promise to honor her sister’s memory, to stand beside struggling warriors and families, and to give hope to those who need it most.
